St. Stephen's Green Park

Scenery

It was such a nice sunny day when I go to St. Stephen Green Park. Lots of people were there to relax and take a walk in this nice day.

My mom

I went there with my mom, we had wonderful time together. I took for her a lot of pictures but only this one does she like most.

Nature and Animals

The nature in St Stephen Green amazed me. There are various of birds, they are all live peacefully and lively. All the birds are big here!!!

Comments

Overall, St Stephen Green Park is worth going if anyone is in Ireland. It is beautiful especially during sunny days. Rating: 9.5/10

Dún Laoghaire

Beach

My place used to be nearby the coast and it is my dream to live right next to the ocean. So that I always take a walk by the beach in Dún Laoghaire.

Lighthouse

It is my first time that I have ever seen a lighthouse in real life. It is much bigger and enormous than I thought. I wonder how it would look like when it works.

Scenery

There are many relics around Dun Laoghaire. This canon looks cool! Also there is a harbor and I could see many yatchs and boats around.

Comments

Dún Laoghaire is a stunning coast. If there is a sunny day, I will absolutely go for a walk by the coast.

Bray

Coast Line

Bray also has a extraodinary coast line. There were many families went for a walk on this beautiful day.

Shops

Along the trail, there are many food court. I had the opportunity to try this chocolate crepe and it was nice!!!

Comments

Bray is also a landmark to-go in Ireland. This is a really cosy bubble tea store called Nana's Tea. I love their frappe!

National Print Museum

Culture Night

For the Dublin Culture Night, I went to National Print Museum. In this place, I learned a lot about the history of the printing industry

Workshops

I also tried out how to print my name in the old way at these workshops. It was really funny that my name was on a wanted poster for criminals.

Staffs

Above all, the thing that made me surprised was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff here. This man guided me a specific tour on how the machine works.

Comments

The trip to the Print Museum was fascinating. The atmosphere and the staffs made me feel welcomed. It is worth an experience.

Grafton Street Area

Powerscourt Centre

This building looks like a shopping centre. It surprised me because its' exterior does not look like one. The space inside was magnificent with restaurants and shops along with hanged trees.

Stephen's Green Shopping Centre

This is the first time I have ever came to a shopping centre in Ireland. I was amazed by the architecture of the shopping centre - vintage and elegant. There are food courts and stores for 'shopping' of course.

Comments

This is a great area to hang around with friends. This was us - 4 Vietnamese students in a pastry shop, we had a cup of tea and a lovely piece of cake. It was an enjoyable experience.

Christmas Period

Grafton Street

My first 'serious' Christmas in Ireland. Every house and street was decorated conscientiously. It was wonderful to wander around to feel Christmas atmosphere!

Dublin Castle

Dublin Castle is an astonishing destination during Christmas. There were  plenty of food stalls that I can buy from. This carousel is iconic here.

Cork

We went to Cork to gather around for Christmas. I helped with the decoration of this Christmas tree and it looks amazing. The presents section was the part that I looked forward most.

Comments

I love Christmas! Everyone was happy together in this precious time. (We are playing monopoly)

Lunar New Year

Tết Việt

This is my first Lunar New Year - Tết that I lived away from my family. Luckily, Vietnamese students community in Ireland helds the Vietnamese Lunar New Year - Tết Việt every year. Therefore, I had the opportunity to hang out with our community in Trinity Business School this year.

Comments

Despite the distance of 5900km away, I can still feel our Tết spirit right here. Hopefully one day I can travel back to Viet Nam during Lunar New Year time.

Croke Park

The Stadium

Croke Park is enormous on such beautiful day when we all had a trip to this stadium. It is interesting that the grass on the field is real-grass. I would also like to mention the sun-light system which help nurturing the grass is an brilliant idea.

My Group

This trip is not just about sight-seeing but also to help us with our GAA projects. We took a tour with my groupmates and we had wonderful time with others.

The Museum

The museum was the 2nd best part of the trip (the best is the scenery of the stadium). We got the chance to know more about GAA players, records and famous events. GAA is truely the spirit of Ireland's sport.

Comments

This is a precious experience for all international students to explore not only about Irish sports but also their culture and history.
